Jagganath Yatra

Thai Poosam
On the day of the festival, devotees shave their heads and undertake a pilgrimage, while engaging in various acts of devotions.

Dussehra
Elephants are decorated with robes and jewelry and taken in processions through streets of the city.

Thrissur Pooram
A procession of caparisoned elephants with arching umbrellas passes through the temple town. The sound of drums and cymbals is part of the spectacle. Fireworks continue through the night.
