to be mad; and to be a king

to be mad and to be a king

This is one of those “once-upon-a-time” stories; except for the fact that they are not fairy tales. Most of the palaces will tell you stories. You would laugh at some of the stories.

You would stare in awe after hearing some of them. You would remember some of them. You would want yourself to play the lead role in some of them. You would want your spouse to be like the guy who plays the lead role in some of them.

Mere facts and statements would not suffice. Saying that the Taj Mahal was built in 20 years by a love-stricken king for his deceased wife would be pointless. Telling you that the palace where you would be staying in Jaipur and the palace in photo can be attributed to the king who was more interested in polo than administration, would be pointless. Telling you that kings preferred playing Elephant Polo as they were bored with the “small” horses would be pointless. Asking you to come to India and live these stories is the point.
