Tabo Monastery

The Tabo Monastery contains some of the best preserved Indo-Tibetan art in the world. The monastery was founded byt he great translator Ringchen Zhango, who brought artists from Kashmir to paint the murals. The monastery has been declared a World Heritage Site.
